Risen Executioner

Creature — Zombie Warrior2 generic manaBlack manaBlack mana

The graveyard recast is the whole pitch, and it's a deliberately self-defeating one: the more bodies you've fed the yard, the more it costs to bring this back, so the return is priced off the exact board states that would make a Zombie anthem strongest. That's the tension a resilience-first tribal lord has to live inside. A standard Zombie lord wants you flooding the battlefield and trading creatures freely; this one taxes its own return by every other creature card in the yard, which means the recast is cheapest precisely when it can do the least and most expensive when your graveyard is fattest. The body carries the same self-restraint: a 4/3 that can't block reads as pure forward pressure, a lord that pushes the racing math but never holds a line, so the recursion exists to keep the beatdown coming rather than grind out a stall. As an anthem-on-legs that re-buys itself, it belongs to a lineage of black threats that ask you to overcommit and then refuse to stay dead, but the escalating recast cost acts as a leash on the engine. It rewards a lean, fast Zombie shell over a hoarding one: the moment your graveyard becomes a resource worth stockpiling, this card slips further out of reach.
