Creature — Faerie Wizard1 generic manaBlue mana

Clash asked you to bet on your own curve, and this flier is the rare creature that turned the bet into a recursion engine. The death trigger reads as a coin flip, but it is a coin you can weight: each clashing player decides where their own revealed card lands, so the real lever is the deck you built rather than anything you do to the opponent. Stock enough high-mana-value cards and your reveal beats theirs often enough that the Faerie keeps returning to hand, ready to chump, trade, or carry an evasive point of damage again. The flimsy 1/1 body is the entire premise: it is cheap enough to feed into combat over and over, and the flying keeps it a recurring clock rather than a wall. The conditional return is what holds the whole thing in check, because losing the clash means the card is simply gone, so the engine only hums in a build top-heavy enough to win the reveal more often than not. That makes it less a value staple than a payoff for a specific kind of library construction: the slow, conditional advantage that defined a lot of this era's blue commons and uncommons before flicker effects and explicit graveyard recursion took the job over with less variance.

Flying When this creature dies, clash with an opponent. If you win, return this card to its owner's hand. (Each clashing player reveals the top card of their library, then puts that card on their choice of the top or bottom. A player wins if their card had a greater mana value.)
