Riftburst Hellion
Disguise sells a fat beater on delayed information, and this Hellion works both halves of that trade cleanly. Paid for honestly, it arrives as a 6/7 with reach: a body that clamps the air shut, walls fliers, and trades up on the ground against almost anything its size. Played hidden instead, it presents a small warded threat for a fraction of the cost, a creature opponents cannot cheaply pick off before you decide when to reveal it. That ward on the hidden shell is where this parts ways with plain morph math; it taxes removal even while the card is masked, so the cheap line buys a blocker that survives, not just one that stalls. The hybrid pips in its flip cost matter too: either red or green unlocks it, keeping the reveal live even when your mana leans hard on one color. Reach is the quiet payoff on the expensive line, defensive work the hidden cast never advertises when the ground stalls and the game moves to the sky. As a design, this is the top-heavy end of disguise, the branch of the mechanic that answers an old morph complaint (face-down bodies were free kills on sight) by making the hidden version resilient in its own right. The reward for guessing wrong about the small creature across the table is a body that ends the combat it was hiding inside.
