Retrieve

Sorcery2 generic manaGreen mana

Two Regrowths stapled together, then priced to make you decide whether the flexibility is worth the tempo. The single-card version of this effect has always been green's clean value play; splitting the return into one creature and one noncreature permanent widens the net without letting you double up, so you cannot rebuild a whole graveyard, just pick the two pieces you most need back. The self-exile clause does the balancing work: it stops the card from feeding its own loop and from becoming a repeatable engine in graveyard-matters decks, which is the concession the two-for-one demands. What that leaves is a sorcery-speed rebuild spell that stitches a fallen threat back to a fetched planeswalker, artifact, or enchantment on the same cast, useful precisely in the grindy midrange fights where you are one permanent short of stabilizing. It asks nothing of your deck beyond having lost something worth getting back, which is the whole reason a modest, unflashy recursion sorcery earns a slot: not for ceiling, but for the reliability of turning two dead cards in the yard into two live cards in hand.
