Rendmaw, Creaking Nest
Symmetry is the setup, and goad is the twist that breaks it. Every trigger hands a flying 2/2 to each player, yourself included, which reads as a group-hug gift until you notice the tokens arrive tapped and permanently goaded: they cannot block the turn they enter, and from then on they are compelled to attack, steered at players other than you whenever possible. So the card manufactures a table full of Birds that must throw themselves at each other, converting a shared board of tokens into a self-sustaining brawl pointed anywhere but your face. Your own goaded Birds are the tax you pay for arming the room, forced to fly at an opponent every combat while their tokens do the same. The build cost is spelled out in the trigger's condition: it wants cards with two or more card types, which is where a Scarecrow with reach earns its keep alongside artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, and the widening pool of multi-type permanents that reward this exact constraint. The 5/5 body pulls its weight too, menace and reach making it a clock and a wall at once, so the card threatens damage while the tokens do the political work. What separates it from the long line of "everyone gets a token" commanders is that it never lets the gift sit still. Where a symmetric handout usually stabilizes the table, this one weaponizes it, turning every fresh creature into a compelled attacker aimed at somebody who is not you.
