Reliquary Monk

Creature — Human Monk Cleric2 generic manaWhite mana

The structural choice that defines this design is stapling artifact-or-enchantment destruction to a death trigger rather than an enter-the-battlefield clause, which inverts what the body is for. An enters-the-battlefield Disenchant answers a permanent on your terms, the turn you cast it. This one answers on someone else's: a chump block, a removal spell aimed at it, a sacrifice outlet you control. The 2/2 frame reads as the cost of admission, but it doubles as the trigger's delivery mechanism, because however the death arrives it converts into the destruction. Trade it in combat and the artifact dies anyway. Hold it back and opponents have to weigh whether attacking trips your removal. In a board built around creatures dying, every sacrifice effect, every favorable block, every fight spell carries deferred enchantment removal as a rider. That deferral is the entire point: the value sits locked behind the creature leaving play, so you engineer a death rather than simply spend a card answering a permanent. White has printed plenty of bodies that smuggle a Disenchant somewhere onto the stat line, but the death-trigger version is the patient one, the answer you set up and then let the board state spend on your behalf.
