Relentless Hunter

Creature — Human Warrior1 generic manaRed manaGreen mana

Firebreathing's oldest problem is that the extra power can land on the wrong place: a chump blocker or a wall absorbs the swing and the mana you sank in does nothing. This body solves it by selling growth and trample together, so each activation that grows the creature also routes the surplus through a blocker rather than letting one trade soak it up. The activation costs 1 generic manaRed manaGreen mana, three mana for +1/+1 and trample until end of turn, which is a steep rate for a single pump but the wrong way to read the card. The point is repeatability: every activation stacks more size and keeps the trample, so a green-red deck with mana to spare in the late game can dump it all here and turn a 3/3 into a threat that punches through a clogged board for real damage. Trample does not make it unblockable; an opponent can still throw a body in front of it, but chumping only eats the toughness and lets the excess power spill over, so each block buys less time than the last. That is the design intent of a mana sink with built-in evasion: a creature that keeps mattering on turns long after it resolved, asking for a hard answer instead of a favorable combat trade. Plain green-red beatdown engineering, and honest about what it is.
