Sorcery2 generic manaGreen mana

Green's claim on graveyard recursion runs through one fixed idea: get back whatever it lost, with no questions asked about card type. Where white recursion fixates on creatures and black recursion fixates on creatures with a life tax, this returns any card at all, a land, an artifact, a planeswalker, a board wipe you already cast. That breadth is the whole point, and it is also why the rate sits where it does. Three mana and a full turn at sorcery speed is the tax green pays for type-agnostic recall, a deliberately unhurried floor that keeps the effect honest in a color that should not be rebuying its best spell on the cheap. It puts a card back in hand rather than onto the stack or into play, so it never pretends to be a tempo play; it is an attrition tool, built for the long game where the deck that runs out of resources last wins. The lineage runs through Regrowth, which did the same job for one mana less and became a recurring tension in green's power budget. This is the cleaner-costed, less-pushed cousin that shows up when designers want the effect available but not free.
