Reckless One

One of five tribal avatars from the same cycle, each reading its own tribe's census off the battlefield and converting that count into a body. The Goblin is the only one of the five with haste, and that single keyword is what fits it to the deck it sits in. Goblins go wide fast and cheap, so by the turn this resolves the board count is already meaningful, and haste lets the avatar swing for that count immediately rather than waiting a turn for the math to mature. That is the design wager. A lord that buffs your team rewards you for surviving; this rewards you for already having committed, then asks you to keep committing. The vulnerability is the one that haunts every count-the-tribe creature: power and toughness recompute continuously, so a board wipe or a single edict shrinks it in real time. Because it counts itself among the Goblins, it never falls below a 1/1, but a 1/1 with haste is not why you cast it. The avatar does not protect your Goblins; it is paid for by them. Where Goblin Warchief and the various lords let a damaged board keep functioning, this is a finisher that converts a wide turn into lethal haste damage in a single attack step, asking nothing back except that you swing while the count is high. It is the cycle's clearest statement that the tribe's strength was always quantity, and that the right payoff scales with the swarm rather than merely supporting it.
