Ravenous Daggertooth
A 3/2 whose Enrage clause turns getting hit into a 2-life skim, and the arithmetic of that trade is the whole design. The trigger fires once per damage event and pays a flat 2 regardless of how hard the blow lands, so this is a fixed toll rather than a scaling reward. The two toughness is the constraint that keeps the payoff modest: most attacks that trigger the Enrage also kill the Dinosaur, so the life gain is usually a one-time consolation rather than a renewable stream. Where the mechanic gets more deliberate is in a deck that controls the damage source, tapping a pinger at its own body to bank 2 life off a noncombat trigger, or arranging a fight it survives and walking away up on the board and up on life. Within the broader Dinosaur tribe it does the least glamorous work: not a bomb, not a combo piece, just a green body whose death, when it comes, comes with a small severance attached.
