A deck holding this until it has a payoff for a sudden burst of isn't spending six mana to draw three and filter its hand: it's using the mana it already has to convert into a specific colored explosion, with the loot attached as insurance against dead draws. That reframes the sorcery from a looting spell into a ritual with a card-selection rider, which is a different and more dangerous animal. The draw-three-discard-two shape means you dig for the exact piece the mana is meant to cast while smoothing the graveyard, and the fixed color output rewards a build that wants both pips at once rather than either color alone. It's the kind of card that looks unplayable on rate and turns out to be a combo enabler, because the people who care about it aren't measuring the trade against fair play; they're measuring it against whatever the five mana lets them do the same turn.
