Most discard makes you the executioner; this Wizard hands both axes out at once and lets each player swing at the other. You reveal your hand and the opponent picks what you lose; then they reveal and you pick what they lose. Nothing is hidden, which is exactly the design tension worth dwelling on: with both grips face-up, every activation is a fully informed negotiation where each player tries to peel the card that hurts the other most. Because the opponent chooses your discard, they will take your best card, not your dead lands, so this is not a one-sided value engine; it is symmetric attrition that grinds one card from each hand per turn at sorcery speed off a tap. The build that wants it is the one whose hand stays threatening even after the opponent strips the top of it: a deck that can afford to lose its best card every cycle because the next-best is still lethal, while the opponent's hand thins toward irrelevance. The 3/2 first strike body keeps the tapper honest on a stalled board, trading up in combat while it does its slow work, but the activation is the reason the card exists. It belongs to an era's habit of stapling repeatable, symmetric disruption onto a creature you have to protect and untap, the price being a turn of exposure for each card pried loose.
