Raka Sanctuary
A red enchantment that does not care about red at all: it asks instead for white and blue permanents, the two colors that sit opposite red on the wheel rather than beside it. Control one of them and it pings a creature for one each upkeep; control both and it leaps to three, a recurring Lightning Bolt's worth of removal that fires every turn for no further mana. That inverts how splash-rewards usually worked in this era, which gated multicolor power behind painful casting costs: here the price is paid in deckbuilding rather than at the moment of casting, and the payoff is a removal engine that keeps grinding whether or not you draw threats. The conditional check resolves on upkeep, so it cannot answer anything the turn it lands and cannot pick off a blocker mid-combat, but a board that survives one rotation starts bleeding creatures on a clock. It belongs to a cycle of five sanctuaries, one per three-color wedge, each keyed to a base color and the pair of enemy colors that oppose it rather than the allies flanking it. That keying is the whole experiment: the deck is rewarded for being greedy with colors that do not naturally fit together, then asked to live with a permanent that only earns its keep once the greed has already paid off.
