Rabbit Battery
Reconfigure exists to solve a scheduling problem plain Equipment cannot: gear sits inert until a body arrives to carry it, and a fresh threat that wants to attack idles for a full turn before it can charge in. This red permanent folds both delays into one card that picks its role on demand. Cast it early and it attacks immediately as its own 1/1; later, spend a single red to graft it onto a finisher, where granting haste (not the modest stat bump) is the reason to do it: a top-end creature enters swinging rather than sitting out. Holding the reconfigure to sorcery speed keeps the tempo honest, since you cannot slip the equip in during combat as a surprise. The subtle part is what attaching does to its status: while equipped it counts as an Equipment rather than a creature, so a wrath or a spot-removal spell aimed at its host leaves it untouched, free to detach and resume attacking under its own power. Both configurations stay live from the first turn to the last, so it rarely rots in hand or as a spent one-drop the way a lone piece of gear can; it becomes whichever the board asks for that turn.
