Prowler's Helm

Artifact — Equipment2 generic mana

Evasion that hangs on a defensive blind spot: nearly every deck running this Equipment is betting the opponent has no Walls anywhere in their pool, and almost none do. That is the whole gambit. Where Whispersilk Cloak grants true unblockable status with no exceptions, this one leaves a deliberate keyhole open, a class of blocker so rare in most metagames that the carve-out plays as functionally cosmetic. The design tension is between honesty and reliability: it reads as conditional, it plays as absolute, and that gap is precisely the edge equipment is meant to hand a single creature without warping the board it sits on. The cheap cast and cheap re-equip matter more than the wording, since the point is to move the helm onto whatever threat survives a stall and push it through for lethal, or to deliver a combat-damage trigger that has to connect. The Walls clause is the rarely-relevant safety valve that stops this from strictly outclassing pricier evasion, and on the odd turn a defensive Wall sits across the table, the valve actually fires. Most of the time it is a quiet two-mana commitment to making one creature a problem the opponent cannot answer in the red zone.
