The Young Hero Role has a ceiling built into its own reward: the enchanted creature only earns a +1/+1 counter when it attacks with toughness three or less, so the growth throttles itself the instant it works. Push a small creature up to four toughness and the engine stops paying out. What makes this the natural carrier for that Role is that the Role never lands until this creature is already dead. Trading it in combat, chumping, or feeding it to a sacrifice outlet is not a cost you pay to get value; it is the whole trigger. The 3/2 for is a body designed to be spent, and its death hands a self-limiting snowball to whatever else you have on the board. Because the token attaches to up to one target, it plays cleanly whether you are going wide or investing in a single threat, and because it replaces any Role you already control on the recipient, it asks a small sequencing question rather than letting Roles simply stack. This is aristocrats logic bent toward aggression: the death trigger converts a creature that has finished its job into a growth upgrade for a survivor, with the counter-generation deliberately capped so the reward stays inside the small-creature shell it was drawn for. It rewards a board of low-toughness attackers, and then quietly stops rewarding them once they outgrow the frame.
