Two effects bolted onto one creature for a single red mana, and the seam between them is where the design lives. Haste is the aggressive half: it turns whatever this lands on into an immediate threat. The looting ability is the attrition half: tap, pitch a card, draw a card, a steady filter that smooths draws and stocks the graveyard. The catch is that the two halves rarely fire on the same turn. A hasty creature wants to attack; a tapped creature cannot loot and swing both. So the Aura asks its host to choose a clock or a card on any given turn, with the activated ability waiting until the body has finished attacking. That tension makes it less a beatdown tool than a graveyard engine wearing a hasty creature as a delivery system: flashback, delve, reanimation, and madness all get a repeatable discard outlet that simultaneously digs its caster toward action. The fragility of the Aura format is the price of that compression: trade the creature and the two-for-one stings. But for a deck built to refuel rather than race, the haste is almost incidental, and the real value is a discard-to-draw motor that costs only the single red to deploy and keeps churning every turn the creature survives.
