Prava of the Steel Legion
Turn a swarm into a wrecking crew for exactly one turn a cycle, then hand the initiative back. The static buff is one-sided by two separate restrictions: it lands only during your turn and only on token creatures, so a field of Soldiers hits like a real army on the swing and shrinks back to 1/1 chaff the moment you pass. That timing clause justifies the generous +1/+4 profile without letting it warp the defensive game. Because those tokens revert on the opponent's turn, they are fragile against any sorcery-speed sweeper and flimsy as blockers, so the anthem funds attacking and nothing else. The activated ability supplies the deck its own token source, keeping the card from waiting on outside producers to matter. Partner gives the design its shape: a turn-only anthem bolted to a durable but toothless body openly wants a second commander to either flood the board faster or supply the reach and evasion this half conspicuously lacks, and the open second color is the invitation to go find one. She is a chassis. The buff and the token-maker are the engine; who stands next to her is where the deck actually gets built.
