The blunt instrument of graveyard hate, and the design tension hides in the word "another": this is a symmetrical effect dressed up as a one-sided one. The trigger fires whenever a card lands in any graveyard, yours included, and exiles it from there. Note that it works as a triggered ability rather than a replacement effect, so the card actually touches the graveyard before being lifted out; every "dies" trigger and leaves-the-battlefield event still resolves normally, and what gets shut off is the second life that follows. There is no targeting, no opt-out, no choice about whose bin it cares about, and that total reach is the point. Against the recursion engines and graveyard combos of its era, a single mana that turns off everyone's yard (no flashback to enable, no threshold to climb, no creatures to reanimate) was a wall you built once and forgot about. The cost is symmetry: it turns off yours too, so it asks for a deck that wants no graveyard at all, whether pure aggression, prison shells, or anything happy to let the dead stay dead. The phrase "from anywhere" widens the net past combat deaths to milled, discarded, and sacrificed cards, which pushes it past removal-adjacent and into true engine-breaker territory. Newer hate has mostly gone narrower and friendlier, trading this card's bluntness for the ability to keep your own plan online. What it offers instead is permanence and price: the cheapest way to declare that, while it sits there, the graveyard is simply not a zone anyone gets to use.
