Pirate's Cutlass

Artifact — Equipment3 generic mana

The free attachment is the entire pitch here. Equipment usually demands two payments before it does anything: cast the artifact, then pay equip, then wait a turn to swing. This one collapses that curve for a tribe by attaching itself on entry, so the moment it resolves there is a Pirate hitting for an extra two power. That conditional self-attach is the load-bearing clause: the +2/+1 is unremarkable in a vacuum, but landing it at no additional cost the turn it arrives turns a three-mana investment into immediate board pressure rather than a setup play. The fallback equip cost keeps it from becoming dead weight once your initial target dies; the sorcery-speed window on that reattachment is the leash, preventing it from drifting into a combat trick. It is a piece of common-rarity tribal payoff built to reward going wide with a creature type rather than building around a single bomb, the kind of card whose ceiling is decided by how many bodies share the relevant subtype on the board. Outside that synergy it is a plain stat anvil, and it knows it.
