Piper's Melody

SorceryGreen mana

Graveyard recursion that refuses to put anything onto the battlefield, instead spinning your dead creatures back into your deck for a single green mana. That restriction is the entire design: most recursion is priced for the tempo of cheating a body back into play, while this one only undoes the loss, deferring the creature to a future draw rather than handing it to you now. It exists because Odyssey was built on a graveyard-as-resource mechanic, where threshold rewarded a stocked graveyard and many effects mined it directly. Against a deck looking to exile or exploit your dead creatures, shuffling them away denies the resource and quietly refuels your library at the same time, two answers folded into one cantrip-cheap sorcery. The catch is that you have to want both halves at once: the card is dead weight if you have no graveyard to protect and no library worth rebuilding, which ties it specifically to grindy attrition games rather than any deck that simply wants its creatures back fast. It is the conservative end of the recursion spectrum, the spell you reach for when the goal is denial and deck longevity rather than immediate value.
