Pillar of Origins
Mana rocks that ramp are universal; this one is deliberately not. The fixing it produces answers only the tribe you name as it enters, ramping that creature type and nothing else: no off-type spells, no noncreature payoffs, no two-mana acceleration into a board wipe or a counterspell. That restriction buys back the rate. A cheap rock that taps for one mana of any color would be a ramp staple in any other configuration; pinning the output to a chosen type turns generic acceleration into something only a committed tribal deck can spend. It belongs to the small family of fixing rocks built for type-themed decks, where the manabase serves a curve of Goblins or Merfolk or Dragons rather than a color identity, and the chosen-on-entry clause means the rock commits the moment it resolves: pick wrong and it taps for nothing you can cast. The design answers a specific problem those decks face, where multicolor tribal payoffs strain a manabase that also wants to flood the board with creatures sharing one type, and it answers that problem without handing the deck the unconditional ramp that would let it pivot into harder, faster lines. The mana it makes is exactly as wide as the deck already is, and no wider.
