Pilgrim of Justice
Built as a color-hate body with a parting gift: the protection from red keeps it alive through the cheap burn that would otherwise erase a 1/3, and then the sacrifice ability spends the body to shrug off one more red damage event before it dies. Read that activated ability carefully, because it does the heavy lifting. It does not counter a spell or fizzle an attacker; it prevents the next instance of damage from a single red source you name. That phrasing matters: it can blank a fully pumped burn spell aimed at your face, soak a creature's combat damage, or neutralize a Pyroclasm-style sweeper entirely, since preventing the source's damage prevents every point it would deal at once, not just the hit to one creature. The and the sacrifice are the price for a prevention shield that travels at instant speed, so the timing is yours: hold it up, let red commit, then point the shield where it does the most damage to their plan. White has printed plenty of protection-from-red bodies, but most are passive walls that simply stand in the burn's way. The wrinkle here is that the wall converts itself into a one-shot fog the moment standing still stops being the best use of it, which makes the static keyword and the activated ability answer two different halves of a red game plan rather than one.
