The activation demands , snow mana specifically, so the filtering only comes online where the mana base can feed it; run it alongside no snow sources and the ability sits dead, leaving a plain 1/2 flier that trades in the air but never loots. That snow requirement is the price of stapling card selection to an evasive body. Where the classic stationary looter wants to be protected while it churns, this one can fly over blockers, though a two-toughness frame still folds to any sweeper that clears more than a single point. The real tension is the tap symbol. The ability costs , so the same turn cannot both send the Bird into the red zone and cash in the loot without an untap or vigilance effect to break the conflict. It becomes a genuine turn-by-turn decision: attack for a point of evasive damage, or stay home and dig. That choice, more than the rate, is the card's whole character. It offers two blue jobs that usually live on separate cards, air pressure and card filtering, and forces each activation to buy only one.
