Heroic at its most blunt instrument. Where the keyword's flashier holders ask you to chain pump spells into evasive bodies or convert removal-bait into a clock, this Centaur trades subtlety for raw payoff: a single targeting spell drops two counters, turning the 3/4 into a 5/6 for the price of whatever cantrip or combat trick you were already holding. That doubled return is the design lever the rest of the cycle was denied. Most holders of the keyword hand you one counter per cast and want the cheapest possible enablers; two counters per spell means every aura, every protective bounce, every targeted ramp effect compounds twice as fast, and green has no shortage of cheap targeted spells that already read as value before the trigger ever fires. The cost of that generosity is the floor: a 3/4 with no evasion and no built-in protection sits there doing nothing until you commit a card to it, which is the standing risk of every heroic body and felt most acutely at five mana. Spend the spell and it snowballs; whiff and you have overpaid for a vanilla blocker. It marks the high end of how aggressive the keyword's reward curve was allowed to get on a single creature: no conditions, no restriction on the spell, just two counters every time the trigger sees a target.
