The triple-white cost signals what this was built to punish: an opponent's color discipline. The choice made as it enters is where the ability gets its teeth, locking in a single color so you can grind that color off the board one permanent per tap. It is a repeatable Disenchant stapled to a body, narrow by demand (you commit the moment it lands) but broad by reach, since it answers anything wearing the chosen color: enchantments, colored artifacts, planeswalkers, the opposing creatures themselves. That breadth is the trade for the WW activation tax and the deliberate slowness of tapping a 3/3 once each turn. Flanking serves the same plan; a wall of small blockers shrinks and dies on contact, so the Paladin can trade attacking for the activated ability that dismantles the chosen color underneath the opponent. It belongs to an older strand of white design where the answer was fused to a creature rather than cast from hand, so threat and removal share one card and one slot. The catch is the bet you make at resolution: name the wrong color, face an opponent who never plays it, or run into someone leaning on colorless permanents the ability can never touch, and the button on this 3/3 sits dead while the body does the only work left to it.
