An Aura that does removal's job in half, and the half it gives back is the problem. The +2/-2 base mode kills anything with two or less toughness outright, but apply it to a surviving creature and you have handed someone a harder hitter: a 4/4 becomes a 6/2, a fragile body that dies to the next chump block or burn spell yet swings for plenty until then. Whether that swing helps you or your opponent depends entirely on who owns the creature, which makes this a strange piece of "removal" to point at an enemy threat. The threshold clause is what closes the gap: with seven or more cards in your graveyard, the modifier doubles to a full +4/-4, dragging toughness down enough to clean-kill all but the heaviest fatties. That second mode ties the card to a build already churning cards into the bin as a matter of routine, where the same yard fueling everything else quietly upgrades a mediocre aura into a real answer. The toughness reduction is the load-bearing half; the power bump leans closer to liability, since against an opponent it can return a more dangerous attacker before threshold flips, and on your own board it trades durability for reach in a way only an all-in aggressive draw welcomes. Committed graveyard decks get a removal spell that grows with the game. Everyone else gets something that reads half-finished.
