Pathfinding Axejaw
A four-power body that arrives on turn four and either grows or filters itself the instant it lands: that is the whole appeal of this dinosaur, and it comes from explore doing its usual double-currency trick. Reveal a land and it goes to hand, keeping your curve stocked; reveal anything else and a +1/+1 counter turns this into a 5/4 while handing you a top-or-graveyard decision that works like a small scry. Because the base body already hits for four, the counter payout matters more here than on a fragile explorer: the nonland outcome is a genuine upgrade, not a consolation prize. That is why explore reads as low-variance rather than pure ramp. The worst case is a counter plus information; the best case is a land you were going to want anyway, so the effect is never fully blank. The ceiling is capped by the trigger being a one-shot enter effect rather than a repeatable engine. The creature stops accruing value the moment it resolves, and any attempt to reuse the explore has to come from imported recursion or blink. As a green midrange four-drop, it does the honest work such cards are asked to do: press damage early, replace itself late, and never rot in hand as a dead draw.
