Pathbreaker Wurm

Soulbond gave green a way to share evasion sideways, and this is the bluntest application of that idea. The 6/4 body is a curve-topper that wants to attack the turn after it lands, and the pairing extends trample to exactly one partner, not the whole board: pair it with another beater and both push through blockers, or pair it with something small and expendable to keep the wurm itself trampling over a lone chump for most of its power. The fragility is the cost. Four toughness on a six-mana creature dies to most removal and trades down against bigger blockers, and the trample evaporates the moment the pair breaks: kill either half, or have one leave the battlefield, and both lose the keyword. That asymmetry between what it does on the swing and how little it survives is the whole tension. A static keyword granter sits back and hands out its bonus passively; soulbond demands you commit two creatures to the board and keep them both alive, which makes the ability only as durable as your weakest half. It works the way green's biggest creatures usually do, built to close games once parity is reached rather than to fight for it, and the trample-sharing narrows that job to a single guarantee: nothing the wurm or its partner connects with gets wasted soaking into a wall.
