Pardic Wanderer
A colorless 5/5 with trample and little text beyond it: this is the near-vanilla benchmark that fills out a common slate when the artifact theme needs a body but the design budget has run out. It sits in the lineage of the plain, splashable beater, a creature any deck can cast anywhere, asking for no synergy and offering none in return. Trample is the single concession to relevance, ensuring the golem grinds through a chump blocker rather than stalling behind one, but the rate is all there is to say about it. Cards like this exist to be the floor of a curve, the artifact that fixes nothing and demands nothing, ignored by anyone with a real plan and quietly serviceable to anyone without one. Reasonable as a colorless finisher when there is genuinely nothing better, forgotten the moment there is.
