Paragon of the Amesha

Creature — Human Knight2 generic manaWhite mana

Spend one mana of every color and a small first-striking Knight metamorphoses into a 5/5 flying lifelinking Angel until end of turn; everything interesting about the card lives behind that gate. The body trades in combat and otherwise sits there as a placeholder, the toll demanding a fully online rainbow manabase before it does anything spectacular. This is the design tradition where assembling all five colors becomes its own reward rather than just a means of casting spells, the activated ability paying out only to the deck that committed hard enough to reach it. Because the upgrade lasts only until end of turn rather than sticking permanently, it bends to whatever the board asks that turn: a combat trick to ambush an attacker, a surprise flier held back on defense, or an alpha-strike finisher when the race is on. The creature stays fragile enough to die to almost anything right up until the activation goes live, at which point a three-mana drop is throwing a punch no 2/2 has any business throwing. The five-pip cost is the balancing act in full: it gates a genuine finisher behind a manabase most decks cannot field, and treats deep color commitment as the price of admission.
