Oversold Cemetery

Enchantment1 generic manaBlack mana

A recursion engine priced for the long game: pay two mana once, fill a graveyard, and never run out of bodies again. The threshold of four creature cards is the entire balancing act. It demands you build a deck that actively feeds the yard before this does anything, which means it rewards sacrifice fodder, self-mill, and creatures that die cheaply rather than a deck that simply happens to lose a few along the way. Once it turns on, the upkeep trigger is relentless: a free creature back to hand every turn, no mana, no card investment, just the graveyard ticking over as fuel. That makes it the patient counterpart to a one-shot raise-dead spell. Reanimator wants the biggest thing in the yard back on the battlefield right now; this wants the bin kept full and the value steady, returning a sacrifice outlet's favorite snack again and again. The design sits squarely in black's long-running deal with death: every creature is a resource you can spend twice, and the cost of cashing in is the discipline of keeping the graveyard stocked. The card stays inert until you have already met its quota, which is precisely why it pays out so reliably once the engine is humming.
