Oros, the Avenger

The Dragon born of a shifted timeline: a Mardu recast of the wedge Dragon archetype for a world where the colors of magic had rearranged themselves. The core conceit is a recurring sweeper stapled to a 6/6 flier and gated behind combat damage. Land a hit, pay the surcharge, and three damage rains on every nonwhite creature, sparing your own white bodies and, conveniently, Oros itself. That nonwhite clause is the design's self-interest: a board of white attackers behind the Dragon walks through while the opposing blockers burn. Three damage will not always finish a developed board, but it does not have to land all at once; the trigger recurs every combat, so each successful swing is another Pyroclasm aimed at half the table. What pays for the asymmetry is twofold: the surcharge means the sweep has a real cost layered on top of the Dragon's already-heavy six mana, and the trigger only fires after Oros connects, so the card wants to be ahead in the air before it can start pulling the trigger. It is built for the grind, a finisher that disassembles the opposition a little more with every attack it survives, but it offers nothing the turn it arrives and nothing if it is chump-blocked. The whole engine assumes evasion is doing its job, which is why the flying matters as much as the damage clause.
