Open the Armory
A tutor that bridges two attachment types in one card, which is the quiet genius of its design: Auras and Equipment rarely share a deck, but the two strategies that lean hardest on them both have the same problem of consistency. A Voltron build wants a specific buff in hand on the turn it matters, and a fetched card is a card it does not draw blind. Steelshaper's Gift does the same work for Equipment alone for a single white mana; this asks one more mana to widen the search across both categories, which makes it the more flexible piece even where the cheaper one is legal. The choice is deferred, too: it puts the card into your hand rather than the battlefield, so you decide what to attach and to whom only once you see the board, and the Equipment or Aura you grab is not committed until you choose to spend on it. That hand-bound result is the friction the card accepts in exchange for breadth. It does not accelerate anything or generate advantage on its own; it trades a card and two mana for certainty, which is exactly the trade an attachment deck most wants to make when it has found its key piece and needs to find it again.
