Ooze Flux
Counters and tokens usually pull in opposite directions: one stacks growth onto a single body, the other spreads bodies across the board. This enchantment converts freely between them, liquidating a pile of +1/+1 counters into a single Ooze whose size equals every counter you cash in. The conversion is what gives it teeth. An end-step activation drains scattered growth off creatures that have already attacked or are about to trade, then reassembles it into one large token at instant speed; the cost is that the source creatures shrink as you do it, so you net value only when those counters were spare fuel rather than the thing keeping a creature alive. It also pairs cleanly with counter-doubling: every counter Doubling Season adds is another point of Ooze waiting to be spent later. The real axis it shifts is how you think about a +1/+1 counter at all. Most payoffs treat the counter as a permanent buff welded to one creature; this reframes it as a fungible resource you can hold across turns and redeem at the moment of your choosing, draining a wide board of small buffs into one outsized threat that arrives when an opponent has tapped out. The rate looks modest, but the underlying idea (counters as currency rather than fixture) reaches further than the text suggests.
