Omenport Vigilante

Creature — Human Mercenary1 generic manaWhite mana

A 2/2 body that becomes a 2/2 double striker (swinging for four) the moment you've done something hostile to an opponent, and the wording rewards a habit rather than a shell. The static check reads "as long as you've committed a crime this turn," so the double strike is not a one-time flip: once any legal crime is on record, the condition holds through the rest of the turn, combat included. What counts is strict, because the crime clause only triggers on targeting: a removal spell aimed at their creature, a targeted mill, or a directed discard all qualify, but an untargeted "each opponent discards" or a symmetric mass-mill points at nobody and does nothing here. That places the payoff exactly where aggressive white already operates, throwing cheap interaction at the board anyway, and asks for no build-around scaffolding beyond the spells you were casting regardless. The design cost is sequencing and board state: against a table with nothing worth pointing at, you can spend a whole turn unable to commit a crime, and the creature stays a plain two-power attacker until a legal target appears. What it asks for is ordering discipline: spend the point removal before you swing, and a hand of pressure plus interaction becomes a clock instead of a grind.
