A tribal wrath scaled to your own board: the sweep gets bigger the more Vampires you have, and it never touches them. That asymmetry is the whole point. Most black board wipes ask you to accept collateral damage or build a team that survives your own removal; this one bakes the survival clause into the tribe you were already committing to. In a developed Vampire deck it reads as a one-sided sweeper, but the sorcery timing shapes how it plays: cast on your main phase, the -X/-X reduction lasts only through your own turn, so it is a proactive board reset, not a surprise answer to an opposing swing. The catch is the floor. With two or three Vampires the effect is a modest toughness dent rather than a full wipe, so the card wants a wide board before it fires, which inverts the usual sweeper instinct to hold nothing back and clear early. Here the price of removal is not life or cards, the way black usually pays, but commitment to a single creature type and the patience to wait until the count is worth it. The -X/-X shape also does quieter work: shrinking toughness to zero kills through indestructible and regeneration alike, so opposing boards built to weather destruction-based wraths get no reprieve.
