One of five enchantments in a cycle built to reward decks leaning on the planeswalker plan, and the one most concerned with keeping those walkers alive. The enters trigger does honest work on its own: two 1/1 Kor Ally tokens are immediate blockers, the kind of speed bump a planeswalker deck wants between an opposing attacker and its loyalty. That body is also insurance against the card being inert when no walkers are present. But the static clause is where the design's real intent sits. Every planeswalker you control enters one loyalty counter heavier while the Oath persists, and the value lands on the very first walker you resolve afterward, not on some later board state. That single counter changes the math more than it looks. A fragile three-loyalty walker arrives at four and survives a swing it would otherwise die to; a minus ability can fire on the turn it enters without leaving the walker stranded; plus abilities reach their ultimates a turn sooner. The constraint sits in the deckbuilding ask rather than the timing: the more walkers you run, the more times the bump compounds, but a single walker treats the Oath as a slightly expensive token-maker with a useful rider. It belongs to a brief stretch of superfriends support, and within that frame it is the protective glue, propping up loyalty totals across an entire planeswalker suite at once.
