Oakgnarl Warrior
Treefolk have always carried their weight in toughness, and this 5/7 is the genre in miniature: a wall that swings back. Seven mana is steep for a body with no card advantage attached, but the stat distribution is doing deliberate work. Vigilance plus a toughness two higher than its power means it attacks for five and still sits home as a 5/7 blocker, surviving most ground combat without choosing between offense and defense. Trample is the rider that keeps the attack relevant against chump blockers, pushing damage past the small creatures a board this slow tends to generate. The design logic is unembarrassed about its narrow scope: a top-end green beater for a tribe whose identity is patience, built for the kind of grindy ground stall where a creature that blocks everything and still maintains a clock is worth more than its mana value suggests. There is no engine here, no ability to build around. What it offers is durability and inevitability folded into a single slot, the Treefolk answer to who wins the long game on the ground.
