Every God in this cycle bought its indestructibility with a devotion gate, and this one spends that gate to become the green tribe's engine rather than its beater. Below five green pips, it sits on the board as an enchantment: no attacking, no blocking, no summoning sickness to wait out, just a cost reducer trimming a generic mana off every creature you cast and a repeatable dig that pulls creatures off your library into hand. That reduction is the load-bearing part. It stacks with itself across a turn, it makes a green deck's whole board-building sequence cheaper, and because the card is already on the table doing this work at rest, the devotion needed to flip it into a 5/6 tends to arrive as a natural byproduct of casting the creatures it discounted. The design is a feedback loop: cheaper creatures build devotion, devotion animates the God, and the God keeps refilling your hand with more creatures to cast. The dig ability is deliberately blunt (it only grabs creatures, and offers nothing on a noncreature hit), but it hands you a choice: bury the whiff in the graveyard, or leave it in place when it's a land or spell you actually want. That optionality softens what would otherwise be a hard tax on decks running much beyond bodies. It answers a long-standing green want: an anthem-slot permanent that survives sweepers, thanks to indestructibility, while advancing the plan whether or not it ever swings.
