Nissa's Revelation

Sorcery5 generic manaGreen manaGreen mana

The price is what makes this card honest, and also what keeps it parked at the kitchen table: seven mana to scry five and then gamble on a coin you've already weighted. The scry is the whole transaction. By the time you've buried the chaff and stacked a fat creature on top, the reveal is a formality, and the payoff scales off that creature's power and toughness rather than a flat number, so the green deck that runs this is one already built to draw off creature statistics. That coupling is the design idea: most big card-draw sorceries pay a flat tax (a fixed handful of cards for a fixed price), but this one launders its variance through the body it finds, which means the reward is as large as the largest fattie in your deck and as small as the smallest. The scry-then-reveal sequence is also the only safety valve; without it, revealing a land or a noncreature spell whiffs entirely, so the digging isn't a bonus on top of the draw, it is the mechanism that makes the draw reliable at all. It reads like a payoff spell and plays like a deck-stacking spell, and the lifegain rider exists mostly to make the seven-mana commitment feel less reckless when you're tapping out at sorcery speed into an open board.

Scry 5, then reveal the top card of your library. If it's a creature card, you draw cards equal to its power and you gain life equal to its toughness.
