Nimble Thopterist
Four mana for four power across two bodies, one of them evasive: that split is the entire proposition. The value here is not the 3/2 Vedalken in isolation but the enter-the-battlefield trigger that turns a single card into a second permanent, feeding any deck that counts creatures, tokens, or artifacts rather than raw stats. The Thopter that arrives is the piece that matters: colorless, flying, and an artifact in its own right, it hands an artifact-matters board a cheap evasive body to protect, sacrifice, or crew, while the front half stays a plain Artificer with no keyword of its own. It belongs to a long line of blue permanent-generators whose job is to leave more behind than they cost, and its rate is deliberately unassuming for exactly that reason: a body-and-token package priced so it never crowds out the payoffs it exists to enable. The blink and reanimation angle sharpens the appeal, since anything that re-triggers the entry doubles the Thopter output from a slot most decks were going to spend on a creature anyway. What it offers is not power but reliability: a guaranteed second object, on demand, without asking you to choose between a creature and a token maker.
