Necrotic Hex

Symmetry that only pretends to be symmetric. Everyone sheds six creatures, but only one player is guaranteed to rebuild: six 2/2 Zombies, tapped, arriving the turn the mass sacrifice lands. The story is who pays what. Against a token deck or a wide creature strategy, forcing an opponent to shed six bodies is a genuine bloodletting; against a control shell holding one or two threats, the sacrifice clause is still a full board wipe on their side, since a player told to sacrifice six creatures with fewer than six simply loses every creature they control. The asymmetry lives on your side of the table: you are the one who wants that number filled, because the effect flips from removal into a conversion engine. Aristocrats decks turn dying creatures into value, so a spell demanding six sacrifices from you is a payoff rather than a cost, and the Zombies replace most of the bodies you just cannibalized. The tapped clause is the tax on that swing, denying you both blockers and an immediate attack, so the board you rebuild sits defenseless for a turn. Edict effects usually let the opponent surrender their least valuable creature; here that concession repeats six times, which is why it bites hardest against a deck that cannot afford to lose its whole team, and merely mops up against one that never overcommitted. A wrath aimed at go-wide strategies, priced for a deck that would rather feed its creatures than mourn them.
