Natural Reclamation

Instant4 generic manaGreen mana

Naturalize wants two mana; this wants five, and the three-mana premium buys a cascade trigger that is almost always worth more than the disenchant it is stapled to. That reversal drives the design: a Naturalize-style effect is cheap and unglamorous, so bolting cascade onto one turns a piece of interaction into a package where the free spell is frequently the reason you cast it, not the destroy clause. Because cascade resolves off a mana value strictly below five, every four-drop and under in the deck is a live hit, which quietly rewards curves built to be cascade-friendly rather than cascade-lottery. You are paying full retail for removal you could get for two, and the resolution is that the destroy clause is the tax and the cascade is the payoff. It also sidesteps the usual downside of expensive answers: at instant speed you can hold it up, let an artifact or enchantment resolve, and still bank a free spell on the crack-back. Cascade cards live and die by the density and quality of what sits under their trigger, and this one is unusual in that its on-cast reward comes with a floor: even in the worst case where cascade whiffs into nothing you want, you still destroyed the target you aimed at.
