Two enchantment payoffs share one legend, and the reason they cooperate rather than compete comes down to a rules quirk in how Sagas die. Once a Saga's final chapter resolves, the game sacrifices it automatically, which means letting one run its course fires both triggers off the same event: the final-chapter drain scales the life swing to the Saga's mana value, and the sacrifice that immediately follows draws you a card. There is no fork to navigate. You are rewarded for landing expensive Sagas and letting them finish, and you collect on both ends when they do. That doubling is what turns her enchantment-matters shell into an aristocrats-style engine: any enchantment you feed to an outlet replaces itself, so the whole graveyard-recursion loop of Sagas, auras, and enchantment fodder becomes a stream of cards rather than a pile of spent permanents. Note the outlet only cares about enchantments, so the artifact tokens some sacrifice decks lean on (Food, Blood, Clues) do nothing for the draw; the payoff is specifically an enchantress-and-sacrifice build. Bard carries no mechanical weight of its own, so the identity rests entirely on those two triggers, with the lifelink body doing just enough to matter in combat while the accounting happens elsewhere. She is the payoff a Sagas-heavy shell had been missing: not a lord, but a build-around that reads Sagas as a renewable resource funneling into life and cards at once.
