For a tribe built around Myr like Palladium Myr and Gold Myr as mana anchors, feeding toward a top-end like Myr Battlesphere or the various Myr lords, this smooths the consistency problem artifact-tribal decks always fight: the ramp piece or payoff you need, drawn to hand when you need it, without diluting the list. The 3/1 body is the giveaway that the tutor is the reason the card exists; the frame is a courtesy, not the point. Myr have always been about assembling a mana engine that spills into a fatty at the top, and a search effect at this slot is the connective tissue that lets those pieces reliably meet in the same game. Outside a dedicated Myr shell it does nothing worth doing, which is exactly the design intent: a role-player built to hold an otherwise fragile tribe together.
