Cast it from hand and it arrives carrying a single charge of immortality, but that charge is also the wrath itself: the indestructibility and the board wipe are the same resource, and you cannot have both forever. The reward for hoarding the counter is being immune to your own sweep and to everyone else's destruction-based removal; the cost of finally pulling the trigger is surrendering that immunity permanently and reverting to an ordinary 4/6 that any spot removal can answer. So the design refuses to be an engine and instead forces one heavy decision: keep this around as an unkillable blocker and threat, or spend the charge to reset the board and accept that you have cashed in the card's protection to do it. The "from your hand" clause is the discipline here, shutting off the reanimation and cheat-it-into-play lines that would otherwise hand you a free indestructible board wipe for a fraction of full price. White's perennial complaint about mass removal is that it kills the caster's own creatures too; this answers that by destroying all other creatures while the source survives, but only once, and only if you paid for it honestly. Across the five-member Myojin cycle this counter-as-one-shot-spell idea got tested in every color, and the white entry lands as its cleanest expression: a sweeper you have to deploy at retail, bolted to a body that shrugs off destruction until the moment you stop needing it to.
