Muddle, the Ever-Changing
Two copy effects that most designers keep on separate cards get bolted together here, and the seams are the interesting part. Every instant or sorcery you cast can turn this into a clone of up to one of your nonlegendary creatures until end of turn, and that nonlegendary clause is the guardrail that keeps the whole thing from folding on itself: copy a legend and the legend rule forces you to put one of the pair into the graveyard, so the effect is deliberately fenced off from your commander and its allies. On top of the target's stats the clone borrows myriad, and the timing there is fussier than it reads. Myriad tokens arrive already tapped and attacking, skipping the declare-attackers step entirely; they do not fire "whenever this creature attacks" triggers, so the payoff is not a chain of replayed combat triggers around the table but raw duplicated bodies aimed at each opponent. In a duel myriad does nothing whatsoever, which marks this as a multiplayer-first design, built to fan damage across a pod rather than close out a one-on-one. The copy expires at end of turn and the tokens are exiled at end of combat, so this is a burst rebuilt each turn by spending another card, never a standing army. That cadence plants it firmly in the blue-red spellslinger lineage: sculpt the game with cheap interaction, then cash each cast into a temporary swarm shaped by whatever board you have assembled.
