Mortiphobia

Graveyard hate that bills you a card for every body it removes. Most graveyard answers of its era were one-and-done artifacts or single-shot spells; this one offers a persistent threat to a graveyard strategy, but the persistence is gated by card disadvantage. The repeatable line costs both mana and a discard each time you fire it, including the first activation, so staying on the battlefield as ongoing pressure means steadily bleeding your own grip into ammunition against the opponent's bin. The sacrifice line is the escape hatch: when you only need to strip one thing (a flashback target, a threshold count, a reanimation payload), you cash the enchantment in and skip the discard tax, at the price of the persistence it was built to provide. The fork pulls in two directions at once. It wants to sit on the table as a recurring tax, yet the only way it stays relevant is by emptying your hand, while the cheaper exit gives up the recurrence entirely. The hoser is pitched at a graveyard-centric environment, where the cards being exiled (spells you flash back, creatures you reanimate, the cheap instants and lands padding a threshold count) were worth more than the card you pitch to remove them. Read against that backdrop it makes sense; absent it, paying a card per exile is a punishing rate, and that discard clause is exactly what keeps the enchantment from being a strictly better repeatable answer.
