Monumental Henge
A dual-purpose land that folds a card-selection engine into an untapped white source, and the price on the activated ability is the whole argument. Four mana all told, two white and two generic plus tapping the land, to dig five deep for a historic card puts the effect firmly in the late game, where a manabase that has stopped needing land drops can spend most of a turn's mana on filtering instead. That gating sets it apart from the run of "taps for mana, does one other thing" utility lands: the payoff is a repeatable dip into the library's upper cards for artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas, a reward for a deck built dense with historic cards rather than one that happens to run a few. The entry clause is the other lever. Requiring a Plains to come in untapped keeps it honest for decks that want white mana on curve while leaving multicolor and slower shells to eat the tempo cost, a distinction that decides whether this is a real early land or a luxury installed once the mana is already secure. The design lives on that split personality: a plain white source when you need one, a grinding advantage machine when the game runs long enough to pay for it.
